The Silent Hill 2 remake will be released on PlayStation 5 and Windows PC on October 8, 2024. With the release date approaching, it’s time to check out the system requirements. Spoiler alert – they might scare you. Why? Let's break it down below.

Minimum System Requirements

  • OS: Windows 10, 64-bit;
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-8400/AMD Ryzen 3 3300X;
  • RAM: 12 GB;
  • Graphics Card: AMD Radeon RX 5700/NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080;
  • DirectX 12;
  • Storage: 50 GB available space.

Recommended System Requirements

  • OS: Windows 11, 64-bit;
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-8700K/AMD Ryzen 5 3600X;
  • RAM: 16 GB;
  • Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 2080RTX/AMD Radeon 6800XT;
  • DirectX 12;
  • Storage: 50 GB available space.

As you can see, the requirements are quite demanding, both minimum and recommended. This information has elicited mixed reactions from users, as even top-tier PCs barely exceed the recommended specifications. On the other hand, since this information was published back in 2022, many have had time to prepare and upgrade their components. If you haven't done so yet, Silent Hill 2 might be the perfect reason to do it.
