Is there a PVP mode in Outriders: how to play against a friend?
The game Outriders is not tuned for the "player versus player" mode and this is not news for fans.
During an interview with the creative director of People Can Fly, the question was asked: "Why is there no question in the team about making a player versus player mode?". To which the director said that creating such a mode, according to the experience of previous years, is not an easy task and requires maximum return. What works in PvE mode is not appropriate in PvP and vice versa.
Of course, if you look at games like Destiny, you can guess which path the creators would have chosen. But they decided firmly not to introduce such a mode, because at the launch of the game there were a huge number of bugs and glitches, and if the developers launched a player versus player mode, it would become non-working.
In Outriders there are some features that, as the creators believe, cannot be transferred to PvP.
As one of the creators of the game said:
we were initially hesitant about doing such a mode and firmly decided to forget about this idea, as we are sure that it will spoil our game.
Despite the fact that the whole game is somehow tuned for cooperative passage, in the near future we will not be able to see the competitive mode. At the moment, the developers are categorical in their decision.
