How to level up quickly in Lords of the Fallen (2023)

Character stat progression in the game significantly impacts gameplay and can make progression easier. The key is to allocate points wisely. Therefore, it's helpful to know how to quickly level up your character for a smoother experience. In this guide, you will learn how to quickly raise your level and where to farm experience.

Leveling Up

Increasing your stats is done by spending Energy (Vigor), the local equivalent of souls from the Dark Souls game series. First, farm the required amount of energy. Approach the nearest Vestiges, which serve the same purpose as bonfires in the aforementioned series. Select the option to upgrade your stats (Upgrade Character). Enhance your desired attributes.

You can farm energy by defeating regular mobs and bosses. It's also granted for consuming specific consumable items. The higher your hero's level, the more energy is needed for upgrades.

Ways to Quickly Improve Stats

The easiest and quickest way is to kill all mobs you encounter on your path. Just be vigilant, try not to die, as you can lose all your accumulated energy. Here are some initial tips for leveling up:

The starting location can be farmed endlessly, so you can use it to boost your stats;

Try to defeat bosses on the first attempt to avoid losing previously accumulated energy, as it can only be raised once;

Make sure to explore every corner of the map in search of items that can grant energy.

Items that Grant Energy

  • Enervated Vigor Skull - grants 200 energy;
  • Faint Vigor Skull - 400;
  • Animated Vigor Skull - 800;
  • Sething Vigor Skull - 1600;
  • Replete Vigor Skull - 3200;
  • Vigor Moth - prevents energy loss upon death;

In addition to consumable items, there is the Moth Ring in the game, which provides a boost to the energy gained from killing mobs and bosses. The increase isn't significant, but there are a large number of enemies, and they respawn after resting at the Vestiges. The artifact can be found in Upper Calrath.

Tips for Quick Leveling

  • By killing enemies, you not only receive a certain amount of energy but also items that can be sold to merchants;
  • If you find a location where you can farm mobs, try not to stray far from the Vestiges to avoid losing accumulated energy. As soon as you have the required amount, immediately upgrade your stats - there's no need to hoard;
  • Energy can be recovered after death, but only once - always keep that in mind;
  • Monitor your equipment. Use the best armor and weapons, and don't forget to use consumable items. This will speed up farming and help avoid death.

Best Places for Fast Leveling

Due to the large number of mobs, it's easiest to accumulate energy in the shadow world. Over time, when you are in this dimension, the energy gained multiplier increases:

  • Initial - multiplier 1.1;
  • After four minutes - multiplier 1.2;
  • After six minutes - multiplier 2;
  • After seven minutes - multiplier 3.0.

But it's not that simple. With each increase in the shadow world, more enemies will spawn. At a certain point, a special mob called the Grim Reaper will appear, preventing the character from regenerating health.

In the normal world, it's best to level up in the sanctuary, where you can find the Vestige of Chabui. The location has many favorable conditions for leveling up: a large number of low-level mobs, convenient terrain, and proximity to Vestiges.

Fast Leveling at the Start of the Game

Right from the start, Lord of the Fallen (2023) allows the player to farm a large amount of energy. Activate the Vestiges in the Pilgrim's Perch location. Nearby, there will be a cave inhabited by a mob with a shadow parasite, which can be defeated using the Umbral Lamp. You will receive 500 energy for it. Leave the area, and the enemy will respawn. If you quickly adapt to its movement patterns, you can accumulate a significant amount of energy right from the beginning.
