The "Age of Imperialism" mod for Hearts of Iron IV describes an alternate world where the First World War never happened. Instead, numerous local wars and conflicts have solidified the positions of Great Britain, Germany, and Russia as leading imperialist powers. Meanwhile, the USA has shifted its policy away from isolationism. France and Austria have found themselves in states of weakness and chaos, while Italy has grown stronger, and a federation might emerge in the Balkans. Other significant events include civil wars in China and Mexico. The game starts in 1931, a period of thawing relations between the empires, but soon local wars, crises, and destabilizing global tensions begin again. New alliances are formed while old ones dissolve, and new states emerge. All of this could lead to a new world war. Will it be a swift and fleeting conflict, or one that plunges the world into dark times? This mod allows you to enter into a peace agreement with an enemy country or faction without surrendering. Customize peace agreements in the style of Europa Universalis IV and send them to the AI or other players. Ideal for multiplayer and single-player games, the mod offers the recipient a pop-up window describing the deal. Switch between "Demand" and "Proposal" in the interface, mark states with Ctrl+X, include multiple countries, and propose or request subject states. The mod also preserves existing tags when transferring all remaining states. The AI accepts or rejects proposals, but does not initiate them.
