How to tame and ride a boar

Despite the lack of a fast travel system as such, you can still travel much faster. For example, by getting a boar!

To do this, you need to find and hunt a boar, and also get a Boar Tusk from it. The beast can be found right under the entrance to the Forest of Myth, near several large boulders scattered around the area (look right after the wooden bridge where you fought the Shades in an earlier quest). 

Dealing with this boar is not easy, as it is more than strong enough for the early game. The trick is to make it charge at you so that it crashes into the boulder and stuns itself.

At this time, jump down and damage the beast, then go back up to the boulder. When the boar finally topples over, you will get the well-deserved Boar Tusk. The boar tusk allows you to tame a friendly boar that will act as a horse.

To summon it, pause the game, go to Animals, and then summon the boar. There you have it, no need to spend a lot of time walking anymore!
