Sarugami Armor, or Black Hand Riku Armor in Ghost of Tsushima, is attire that can only be obtained in the Iki Island expansion. The armor comes with useful perks that are available immediately and further enhance as you upgrade them.

Features of Sarugami Armor

The perks of Sarugami Armor increase with each level of upgrade:

• Increase in accumulated Resolve. At level 1, the increase will be small, but by level 5, it will become significant;
• Increased window for perfect parry and dodge. This also increases with each level;
• Regular parrying is unavailable. Instead, you can use perfect parrying, which consists of a combo of two attacks. The number of attacks dealt during perfect parrying increases with each level.

How to Obtain Sarugami Armor

You can unlock the armor set after completing the quest "The Legend of Black Hand Riku". Previously, the armor was worn by the pirate Black Hand Riku - hence the name of the set. Access to the island is granted after completing Act I of the main storyline.

After completing the quest "A Raider's Return," a new area - Fune's Refuge - will appear on the map. Head to the quest marker, which will be displayed automatically, and follow it to Kashira. The man will be in the center of the camp. Talk to him and listen to the story about the pirate who wore the Sarugami Armor and presumably cursed it.

Kashira will ask you to find the missing squad member - Minato, whom you need to rescue from the Mongol squad. Be prepared for battle in advance. After rescuing Minato, she will tell you about the mysterious glowing water where the Black Hand's ship once sank. Head to the specified location - it will be near the camp.

In the Lightning in the Storm area, find the river and walk along the shore until you come across an area with glowing water. Descend lower to the water's edge. At the bottom, enter the dark cave. Illuminate the path with whatever means you have, such as launching Fire Arrows into braziers.

At the end of the cave, you'll encounter Black Hand himself, or the remnants of his essence. You can only obtain the armor by defeating the boss. After defeating him, approach the opponent and remove the armor with the helmet.
