Ultimate Overlord's Mega Magic Sword – a new 4* weapon that was announced during the livestream on December 8, 2023. Developers rarely spoil players with good two-handed swords, and especially for free, so we decided to take a closer look at its characteristics, applications, and acquisition methods.

How to Obtain the Ultimate Overlord's Mega Magic Sword

All players participating in the 4.3 update event, the "Roses and Muskets" film festival, can obtain the Ultimate Overlord's Mega Magic Sword. Detailed information about the event's conditions is not available at the moment – we await the update.

Weapon Characteristics and Features

The main stat of the two-handed sword is energy recharge. The weapon's stats at maximum refinement:

• Base attack – 565;
• Energy recharge – 30.6%.

Description of the passive effect:

"Increases attack by 12%. But that's not all! Support from the midgets of Merusis Village, whom you've helped, fills you with power! Depending on their number, attack power is further increased by 12%."

This condition is very interesting, as it motivates the player to complete world quests and side quests related to the Merusis. If you've already completed all quests, you'll get the maximum effect. Currently, it's not known exactly how energy recharge will stack up. The maximum value at level 90 of the weapon may change.

Ascension and Awakening Materials

To ascend the Ultimate Overlord's Mega Magic Sword to the maximum level, you'll need the following materials:

• 755,000 Mora;
• 605 Magic Crystal Chunks;
• Meshing Gear, Mechanical Spur Gear, Artificed Dynamic Gear;
• Old Operative’s Pocket Watch, Operative’s Standard Pocket Watch, Operative’s Constancy;
• Broken Goblet of the Pristine Sea, Wine Goblet of the Pristine Sea, Silver Goblet of the Pristine Sea, Golden Goblet of the Pristine Sea – weapon ascension materials for Fontaine.

On the plus side, there are no new materials that you wouldn't have already farmed during Fontaine exploration. This is logical – version 4.3 will not add a new region or enemies, so the ascension materials remain the same.

Just like the weapon itself, awakening materials can be obtained by completing quests in the new 4.3 version event. The task for players is to collect all rewards in time, as the opportunity to obtain materials will disappear after the event closes. As known, developers do not repeat gifts in events, especially weapon-related ones. A vivid example is the catalyst Dodoco Tales or the claymore Cinnabar Spindle.

Character list

At the moment, there aren't many characters about whom it can be said that the Ultimate Overlord's Mega Magic Sword is ideal for them:

• Navia – a Geo claymore and the new character in the 4.3 update. The sword not only covers Navia's main needs for attack power and energy recharge but also fits her design;
• Beidou – an excellent option for stat balance, as the captain always needs recovery, especially in the sub-DPS or support-shield role;
• Sayu – the Ultimate Overlord's Mega Magic Sword will help accumulate energy for her ultimate. Sayu's healing level depends on attack power;
• Chongyun – also needs a fast ultimate cooldown, enough attack power for the main or support damage dealer role.

You can give the sword to other two-handed sword users, but it will look best on the characters listed. For example, the new character Freminet doesn't need energy recharge – his ultimate is inexpensive.
