In update 4.2 of Genshin Impact, new locations have been introduced: the Morte Region and the Erinnyes Forest, which means new quests and chests hidden in various places.

In this guide, you will learn about the locations of 19 new precious chests in Fountain version 4.2 and how to obtain them.

All Precious Chests in Genshin Impact 4.2

Chest 1

Head to the Loch Urania area and follow the markers to two houses on the map. It will be a camp of Hilichurls, between which is a puzzle with water-level survey crystals. All crystals need to be activated to open the shell. After that, a precious chest will appear. The puzzle is simple and can be solved quickly.

Chest 2

You can obtain the next chest during the "The Wild Fairy of Erinnyes" mission. The chest will be located in the Loch Urania area next to the Hydro Mimic Pakhsiv, with whom you completed the quest.

Chest 3

Another precious chest can be obtained by completing the quest chain "The Wild Fairy of Erinnyes." You can claim the reward on the shore near the Wilting Weeping Willow. There will be regular, precious, and luxurious chests by the water's edge – a generous reward from the little Hydro Mimic.

Chest 4

The puzzle is located on a mountain in the Erinnyes Forest area. It consists of several water-level survey crystals and a stone that switches between orange and blue light when struck.

To solve the puzzle, take the Hydrogranium, wait for it to become a Hydro Core, and place it on the mountain. All crystals should be as close to the stone as possible. After that, a chest will appear.

Chest 5

Location: underwater caves beneath the Weeping Willow. Go there and dive deeper to face the local legend Mageblade Crouges. After victory, you will receive a precious chest and an achievement from the "Wonders of the World" section.

Chest 6

Without going far from the Weeping Willow, resurface and head to a small lake, next to which an underground teleporter is located on the map.

You will come across a pond covered with green slime. Clear it using the ability of the Xenochromatic Ball Octopus. Afterward, dive underwater, absorb the power of the Xenochromatic Hunter's Ray, and cut through the seaweed. Resurface, and you will see a ring above the lake, into which you need to enter with the ability of the Xenochromatic Octopus. After that, a chest will appear on the shore.

Chest 7

On the path encircling the mountain in the Weeping Willow area, there will be a puzzle with a jellyfish and 4 elemental monuments. Activate them in the correct sequence to open the chest. The order depends on the number of logs near the monument – from smallest to largest. After that, follow the jellyfish and move its other companions to get the precious chest.

Chest 8

Location: Erinnyes Forest shore, closer to the edge of the map. Nearby, there will be a teleporter that can take you to a cave with a Hydroculus and a precious chest. Use three keys from common storage to open the gate and access the reward.

Chest 9

Go southeast along the path from the Weeping Willow until you reach a body of water with an energy sphere. Absorb the ability of the Xenochromatic Octopus and hit the target in the water. It will teleport you to the underwater space where a chest will be lying at the bottom.

Chest 10

The next chests are located in the Morte region. The first one is in the Fort Charybdis Ruins. Progress forward and descend until you reach a room with gears on the ceiling. Climb on them and press "Activate." The gear will rise up, where a Hydroculus and a precious chest will await you.

Chest 11

Location: Tower of Ipsissimus. Dive underwater – behind the barrier, you will see a precious chest. To open it, pass through the barrier, move the energy block to the Pneumousia, collect the crystals, and bring them to the valve to activate it. Absorb the ability of the Xenochromatic Octopus and direct the mechanism in the right direction until the chest opens.

Chest 12

The next point is the left part of the Tower of Ipsissimus ruins. You can swim from the underwater teleporter. To open the chest, you need to summon 3 fairies. Where they are located:

• first – near two mechs (Mek) that need to be destroyed;
• second – in a shell that can be opened with the attack of the Xenochromatic Octopus, floating nearby;
• third – at the entrance to the ruins.

Once all three fairies arrive, the chest will open.

Chest 13

Don't swim too far and head to the center of the Tower of Ipsissimus. At the bottom, in the darkest part of the location, there will be a lonely precious chest. It opens easily, without puzzles or enemy attacks.

Chest 14

Swim to the center of the Tower of Ipsissimus, descend the stairs, and defeat the local legend Chassagnon. As a reward, you will receive chests and an achievement from the "Wonders of the World" section.

Chest 15

The next chest will also be located in the center of the Tower of Ipsissimus and will open after completing the quest in the quest chain "In the Wake of Narcissus."

Chest 16

Exit the tower and swim to the southern part of the ruins. You can reach it from the nearest underwater teleporter. Solve the puzzle with columns and energy streams. To open the chest, beams must fall on the columns.

Chest 17

The next chest is also related to solving the beam puzzle. Swim further south to the very edge of the ruins. Absorb the power of the Xenochromatic Octopus, swim into the ruins, and use the ability to connect the beams. After that, the chest will open.

Chest 18

The next chest will appear in the center of the Personality Oratory hall during the quest "Search in the Algae Sea."

Chest 19

To open the last chest, swim to the surface and climb ashore in the area of the East Slopes of Mont Automnequi. Walk from the ground teleporter down to the Fatui camp. Deal with the enemies to claim your reward.
