The Genshin Impact weapon banner has two types of guarantees:

1. Soft guarantee (conditional value).
2. 100% guarantee.

How to obtain the 100% weapon guarantee and what is it?

Every 80th wish guarantees you a 5-star weapon from the banner. In other words, if you made 79 wishes on the banner without obtaining a 5-star weapon, on the 80th wish, you will definitely receive one of them.

How to obtain the soft weapon guarantee and what is it?

As the number of wishes increases, the probability of obtaining a 5-star weapon also increases. According to the assumptions of many players (since there is no official term "soft guarantee" in the game), starting from the 65th wish, your chances of obtaining a 5-star weapon increase. Now let's talk a bit about the probability of non-event weapons.

If your last 5-star weapon did not come from the event banner (which can happen), your next weapon will be 100% from the event (Homa or Elegy). However, if your last obtained 5-star weapon came from the event banner, you have a 75% chance of getting the Staff of Homa or Elegy (this applies to all weapon banners) and a 25% chance of getting a random weapon.

How does the new "Epitome Invocation" event banner mechanic work?

Before starting your wishes, set your weapon target to the desired one, for example, the Staff of Homa. If you fail to get Homa twice and instead get Elegy, you will accumulate 2 Fate Points. These points will allow you to obtain Homa as the third weapon with a 100% guarantee, in case you experienced a great deal of bad luck.
