"Sacred Lan" is another quest for the character Gan Yu in the game Genshin Impact. Today we will discuss how to obtain this quest and how to complete each of its stages. Let's go! 

Unlocking the Quest "Sacred Lan"

In order to obtain it, first and foremost, you will need to complete "Approach of a New Star" and have an adventure rank of at least level 40. 

In the end, you will need to buy the Legend Key, which you can only acquire after completing the daily quest eight times. 

Quest Walkthrough for "Sacred Lan"

First Stage: Enlightened Beast in the Sea of Clouds

To start, take the Legend Key and unlock the quest. Consider the first stage already underway. Go and talk to the secretaries in the Jade Chamber. 

Head towards the quest marker, and it will lead you straight to the Moon Sea. Near the entrance to the pavilion, you will find several secretaries. By the way, they are all ladies, so focus on the female gender. After chatting with them, you will learn that Gan Yu went to the Cloud Barrier and never returned. 

Well, head to Mount Aozang and search for Gan Yu. 

You will see a perplexed girl who doesn't know what she wants next. Talk to her, and when you start a conversation with another character, the girl will disappear again, and you will need to find her. 

Next time you meet her, you will have to complete a couple of quests first. The challenges are not the easiest, but calling them difficult is also not an option. Use a charged shot to activate 12 Cryo Totems.  

Note that few of the monuments are on moving platforms. Activate them, and the wind current will lift you even higher. Each of the totems will be marked by a quest marker - you won't be able to skip anything.  

As you progress through the quest, you will come across three totems standing close to each other. You can only activate them with a special charged shot, which only Gan Yu possesses. It's simple - charge it slightly longer than usual. 

Sooner or later, you will come across the Trial of Xiao. The quest will be located near a large tree in the southeast of the map. Head straight there following the marker and talk to Xiao. 

This time, you need to defeat enemies who want to destroy the monolith. Fortunately, Gan Yu handles such enemies with ease. There will be a total of 26 enemies, and you need to deal with all of them. 

All your enemies will be in the water, so use freezing and eliminate each of the enemies smoothly. 

Did you defeat them all? Go to Xiao and receive your well-deserved reward. The first stage is complete. 

Second Stage: Secretary in the Mortal Sea

Head to Liyue and talk to the girl. 

Next, head to the eastern pier to Uncle Tianyu. He will ask for your help, or rather, his daughter's help. 

Now you need to go to the Moon Sea Pavilion, which is located at the top of the city map. Find Huai Xin there and track down the shop owners who refuse to pay taxes. 

First, go to Bo Liu. You can find him near the entrance to the pier. Then head to Fangmu Workshop to Master Lu. 

Its location is in Qingce Village. The screenshots below will help you see where this village is. The old man won't tell you anything unusual, but you will see a Fatui member near the hill, go there. 

You will witness a scene where the strong guy eats berries. To continue the story, you need to hit him. The conversation will definitely show that he didn't rob the old man, so let's move on.

Move to the northwest part of the hill. Proceed to the warehouse itself, where hilichurls have settled around it. They are the troublemakers for the old man. Deal with them. 

Find a note under the building and another one in a grain bag. However, the one we need is behind the warehouse. 

Take it and go to Huai Xin. Then go to Dunshan because he will give us the reward.

Third Stage: Contract Beyond Time

Go to the town, specifically to the "Xinyue" tent, which is not far from the souvenir shop. A couple of cutscenes will unfold before your eyes. 

After noon, go back to the Moon Sea tent and start a conversation with the secretaries Ningguang. If you remember, they are the ones who involved you in this mission. You will be shown another cutscene, and then you will receive your long-awaited reward and 60 Primogems.
