Special Analysis Zoom Lens is an item you can obtain after completing the event "Criminal Recognition Experiment Log", which was introduced in Genshin Impact with the 4.2 update.

The Zoom Lens is a handy item for photography. You can take shots from a great distance, and the most interesting part is using the lens together with Charlotte's ability, which captures the surrounding environment on the elemental skill (E). Now you can capture amazing shots right in the heat of battle.

How to Obtain the Zoom Lens

The quest will automatically appear in the quest log on November 27th. You are not required to complete or even participate fully in the Lepine-Pauline event. However, the quest "The Long-Failed Graph Adversarial Technology" is a logical continuation of the event, and you may not understand some dialogues if you skip it.

Head to the Court of Fontaine and find Lepine-Pauline. She will be standing in the same place where you submitted cards to her during the event. Charlotte, the Steambird journalist, will be next to the girl.

As you may recall, Lepine-Pauline decided to assist Fontaine's justice by improving the database of Gendarmes' images through her new project. She took the idea from a situation she heard about from city gossip: criminals disguised themselves as Blubberbeasts, and the Gendarmes couldn't distinguish them from real creatures due to the limited database.

Charlotte will reveal the bitter truth: the story about Blubberbeasts is a fabricated hoax and simply a newspaper "duck." It was concocted deliberately to catch not-so-smart criminals who would attempt this trick.

Lepine-Pauline is horrified. It turns out all her work was meaningless, and all the money and savings she directed into the project. Charlotte will rush to reassure Lepine-Pauline and offer her a mutually beneficial cooperation.

How to Use the Zoom Lens

After the scene with Lepine-Pauline and Charlotte, the lens will appear in your inventory. To equip it, click on "Activate Gadget." Now, your camera will be equipped with zoom, and Charlotte will use it with her elemental skill. To capture photos, hold the E button.
