How to Start the Impromptu Poem of the Crimson Dawn Quest

The quest will appear on the map during exploration of the Fontaine region, specifically near the Wilting Weeping Willow area.

In the ruins area, you will come across a mysterious red-haired stranger sitting in a locked cage. Talk to him to start the quest.

During the conversation with the stranger, a couple of Treasure Hoarders will appear. They will try to hinder the Traveler and attack him, discussing how much they can sell the talkative Paimon for.

Your scuffle will be interrupted by the youth in the cage, who will offer the bandits to take all the treasures they need as long as they leave innocent people alone. The Hoarders agree and leave with the youth, whose name you never learned.

Find the Treasure Hoarders and the Red-Haired Youth

After the incident, Paimon suggests tracking the Treasure Hoarders to see where they are heading. Go to the nearby marker, where you will find the bandit camp and the same youth you freed from the cage.

Help the Red-Haired Youth or Observe the Situation

Suddenly, the red-haired youth, along with his assistants, will attack the Treasure Hoarders. You can choose to help or let them sort it out on their own.

Talk to the Red-Haired Youth

After the battle, the stranger finally introduces himself – his name is Rouge, and being in the cage was actually his plan. He is far from being a victim; on the contrary, he is trying to teach the local bandits a lesson and set them on the right path. The defeated Treasure Hoarders start speaking strangely – too politely and respectfully. Apparently, Rouge's righteous anger had a profound effect on them.

Rouge doesn't believe in the honesty of the bandits and wants to test them in another camp the next day. The Traveler offers assistance, and Rouge agrees.

Wait Until 20:00 - 21:00 the Next Day

Fast forward the time in the Paimon menu to 20:00-21:00 the next day. A mark with the location of the next camp will appear on the map, and you need to visit it with Rouge.

Go to the Treasure Hoarders' Camp

The camp is located in the Foggy Forest Path area. It turns out that the bandits, who just yesterday swore to reform and follow the right path, have plundered even more treasures and have no intention of heeding Rouge's guidance. Engage in battle and teach the rascals a lesson.

Talk to Rouge

Rouge will thank Paimon and the Traveler for their participation. You've made a significant contribution to achieving justice. Rouge will share a bit more about his motives. He admits that he won't claim what he took from the Treasure Hoarders, or else he wouldn't be any different from them. Rouge remarks that the laws of Fontaine have not yet dealt with this group, but he will continue his path, convinced that there are many like-minded individuals and fighters against evil around him.
