In the game Elden Ring, there are a total of ten starting classes, each with its own unique characteristics and builds.

In this guide, we will tell you all about the classes in Elden Ring and help you choose which one to start with!

Guide to Classes in Elden Ring

Astrologer Class in Elden Ring

The Astrologer class is entirely focused on magic and sorcery. You will start with a set of elemental spells and a Short Sword that serves as your secondary weapon.

This class works well against single or multiple targets.

Bandit Class in Elden Ring

The Bandit class is considered one of the most challenging for a quick start. The Bandit build revolves around critical strikes and stealth. At the beginning of the game, you will have a Short Bow as your additional weapon.

This class excels at attacking enemies from behind and skillfully dodging various attacks!

Confessor Class in Elden Ring

The Confessor class is an excellent choice for beginners who don't want to deal with complex builds. You will start the game with a good supply of armor and some healing spells.

Hero Class in Elden Ring

The Hero class is a great option for a strength-based build. Despite having immense strength, this class does not have the best Dexterity and has very low magic stats.

Prisoner Class in Elden Ring

At the start of the game, the Prisoner doesn't possess immense strength, but their skills greatly increase as you level up Dexterity in the mid-game.

The potential of the Prisoner shines in close combat and agility-dependent spells.

Prophet Class in Elden Ring

The Prophet is essentially an astrologer who specializes more in faith than various spells. Representatives of this class wield very potent holy and fiery magic.

Samurai Class in Elden Ring

The Samurai class is practically the same as the Wanderer, with a greater emphasis on leveling up Dexterity and long-range attacks.

The Samurai is an excellent choice for players who prefer to use long-range weapons.

Wanderer Class in Elden Ring

The Wanderer class consists of very resilient heroes equipped with a full set of armor and a halberd. Initially, they cannot use spells, but as you level up Faith or Intelligence, Wanderers can become something between a warrior and a mage.

Warrior Class in Elden Ring

The Warrior has the best Dexterity stats in the game. Warriors are equipped with two scimitars and are perfect for daggers and spears. If you invest in Intelligence, your warrior will be able to handle a few simple spells, but they are not heavily focused on magic overall.

Rogue Class in Elden Ring

The Rogue is designed for players who are already familiar with the world of Elden Ring. The character starts without armor and only wields a club, along with relatively low but flexible stats.
