CS:GO: Operation Riptide Map Update, Weapon Changes, New "Fight to the Death" Mode, Dust 2 Changes, and More
The 11th update of CS: GO and the Operation "Riptide" are already available today! In addition to new skins, the patch brought to Counter-Strike quite a lot of interesting features: Global Offensive, starting from new maps, changes in existing locations, new game modes, ending with nerfs and weapon buffs. Also, significant changes were made to the game process: the Digl weapon was nerfed, and the M4A1-S received a buff damage. Now let's go into more detail!
Changes in CS: GO Operation Riptide Update
1. Grenades
Now you can drop grenades to your comrades!
2. Desert Eagle Nerf and M4A1-S Buff
The damage of the Desert Eagle was reduced from 63 to 53. In turn, the damage of the M4A1-S was increased from 33 to 38.
3. New/Removed Maps in CS: GO Operation Riptide
In total, five maps were added to the official CS: GO matchmaking system:
- Country (Danger Zone)
- Basalt and Insertion II (Competitive, Casual and Deathmatch)
- Ravine and Extraction (Co-op)
The following maps were removed from the official matchmaking:
- Grind
- Mocha
- Pitshop
- Calavera
- Frostbite
4. Private Team Matchmaking in CS:GO
Users can now set up a private match (queue) in CS:GO. Now you can create queues or join them using a personal code.
5. Deathmatch in CS:GO
Now you have the opportunity to choose the type of deadly battle in CS: GO before the match starts:
- Team Deathmatch: the first team to reach 100 kills wins.
- Deathmatch for all: all players on the map are enemies.
- Classic Deathmatch: individual score, the goal is another team.
