• Zhu Bajie - a half-man, half-pig, lazy but good-natured;
• Sha Wujing - a monk of demon origin, strong but without guile.

Sun Wukong is one of the most popular characters in Chinese mythology and literature. He was born from a stone on Mount Huaguo. He possesses incredible strength, agility, and magical abilities. He has mastered 72 transformations, 1080 combat techniques, and wields a magic staff that can change size at his command. He symbolizes freedom, strength, and rebellion.

The heroes' journey is filled with dangerous adventures, encounters with demons, and miracles. It is not just a story about traveling the Silk Road but also a deep philosophical work that touches on themes of good and evil, temptation, and enlightenment. Black Myth: Wukong adheres to this same concept in its storyline, but the original story will receive a new, fresh interpretation.
