Due to the released patch for CS: GO, which made changes to the game modes and added unranked matchmaking, users of the standard account will not be able to play in the familiar competitive mode, gaining experience and rating points.

More about the unranked mode in CS: GO we described in this article.

How to play CS: GO without Prime

Well, to return to the familiar game mode you need to get Prime (or, more correctly, buy it), and at the moment here is what we have:

  • Players without a Prime account will not be able to play on the rating.
  • Players without Prime have access to the new "unranked" competitive mode, which currently includes three maps.

How to get Prime in CS: GO

Here is all you need to know:

  • Players without Prime can no longer get Prime for free, now you have to buy it.
  • Players who previously activated Prime for free will still have access to it without purchase.
  • You can get Prime for free in CS: GO by reaching level 12.
