Cyberpunk 2077: How to Neutralize a Cyberpsycho Without Killing in the Quest "Onslaught of the Cyberpsycho"

Before the captivating storyline in Cyberpunk 2077, you will encounter a character named Regina Jones, who will puzzle you with the search for seventeen cyberpsychos in the immediate vicinity and ask for their neutralization, but not their elimination. The mission is called "Cyberpsycho Sighting."

The cyberpsychos need to be captured alive for the fixer, as their condition needs to be studied. In this guide, we will tell you how to neutralize a cyberpsycho in the quest "Cyberpsycho Sighting" without killing them. For information on locating all cyberpsychos on the map, read here. Let's go!

Close-Range Strikes

The tactic is quite simple - you approach the enemy and then deliver several punches in hand-to-hand combat or strikes with a weapon. It is worth noting that cyberpsychos have a considerable amount of health, unlike ordinary enemies, so the fight can be prolonged.

In such cases, there is one clever feature: use ranged weapons, and when the opponent has a negligible amount of HP left, finish them off in the classic way described above.

Target Analysis Implant Modification

Very often in Night City, you can find a modification called "Kiroshi" for ocular implants. Its remarkable feature is that when dealing damage to an enemy with almost any weapon, "Kiroshi" makes the damage non-lethal.

The secondary damage when hitting the head becomes irrelevant, and "smart" weapons target the limbs.

"Peaceful" Weapon Modification

Before engaging in combat with enemies, don't forget to install this modification on the weapon you're using. It is a direct alternative to the previous modification but has its drawbacks since it also prevents fatal hits.

You have a good chance of disabling the opponent without taking their life. Use it the same way as in the first case: hit and finish off in close combat.

"Short Circuit" Script

Another type of weapon for neutralizing enemies. When used at a distance, it deactivates the cyberpsycho's microchip for a certain period, making them easily vulnerable. This is achieved by applying electrical impulses to the microsystem.

Other variations of similar scripts: "Synapse Burnout" and "Suicide." On their own, the scripts are designed to destroy the enemy, but for cyberpsychos, they are just a kind of temporary stun, which is very useful in close combat if the fixer needs more evidence.

Skippy Pistol

When set to "Pacifism and Puppy Eyes" mode, this weapon lacks lethal shots. There is a small catch - once you find it, switch to the "Cold Blooded Killer" mode and neutralize 50 enemies for the pistol to permanently switch to the desired mode. Its location: Vista Del Rey district in Heywood. For more details on obtaining the Skippy Pistol, click here.

By the way, the weapon comes with a "talking android." It also has the ability to auto-upgrade and contains "smart" rounds that track the enemy upon firing. Critical damage with a chance of hitting the enemy is below average since the main damage is only meant for neutralization.

No Need for Stun

Except for the methods listed for neutralizing enemies (cyberpsychos), you can do without secondary means of completing the mission. Use practically any type of weapon, as cyberpsychos are incapable of dying. Dealing critical damage will simply knock down the enemy, but they won't be defeated. Afterward, Regina Jones will inform you of the successful completion of the task.
