How to Open "The Winding Homeward Way"

During the second act of the "Golden Apple Archipelago" event, you can visit the Perilous Island and find a Fairy on top of a large canyon in the center of the island. Following her will activate the quest called "The Winding Homeward Way".

Follow the Fairy to the bottom of the mountain, where she will stop on a rock. Stand on top and press the hint button to investigate the spot, then four symbols will appear on a pillar next to you. They represent the nearby monuments and the order in which you must activate them.

How to Solve the Monument Puzzle on the Perilous Island

Switch to your Cryo character and activate the Cryo monument located on the left, then switch to your Anemo character and activate the Anemo monument next to the three strange circular devices. Now let's move on to the more interesting part of the puzzle.

These three devices are actually elemental rings: one Hydro, one Anemo, and one Pyro. Using your Windblume Ode, you can throw a ball through the Hydro or Pyro ring, filling it with that Element, and then use Anemo to send it to one of the pillars high on the cave roof.

Set the middle Anemo device to position two, then stand so that you face the Pyro device with the Anemo ring behind it. Throw the Windblume Ode through the device, and it will ignite, and then the Anemo ring will send it to the surface, where it will hit the pillar.

Now change the Anemo device to position one and face the Hydro ring, behind which should be the Anemo ring - now throw the Windblume Ode again. This time it will turn into a hydro ball and be sent to the hydro pillar on the roof.

After that, a portal will open, and several Slimes will come out. Defeat them all, then collect all the fireflies and jump into the portal. After that, you and the fairy will be in Mondstadt. Follow her to the destination, break a large stone blocking the way, and the quest will be completed automatically!
