The most interesting Easter eggs, references, and secrets in Far Cry 6!

What makes the gameplay even more interesting? Easter eggs, of course! It's always fun to see references to items from other games or movies that you've watched before. And it's even more exciting to come across familiar characters! This article lists some of the easter eggs and references you can encounter while playing Far Cry 6.

A Very Nice Knife

Those who played the third installment of the game should remember the knife from China, which had a very interesting description from one of the characters. We won't quote it verbatim, but let's just say the knife is a "masterpiece"! Well, that knife exists in the sixth installment as well. Not the physical knife itself, but you can find a mention of it in a secret bunker, which is not easy to access.

Here's what you need to do for that:

  • Climb onto the roof of a nearby building;
  • Press a button;
  • As soon as the doors open, quickly throw a grenade or another explosive item inside.

As a result, an explosion will occur, granting you access to the secret FND central warehouse. Go inside and look for a product catalog on one of the tables, where you'll find information about the Chinese knife. Additionally, in the storage, you can find a STARLINK toy, which is located on a shelf and resembles a spaceship.

Be Like Jason Brody

The game takes place on islands surrounded by open ocean, naturally inhabited by bloodthirsty sharks. To lure one of them, you need to go out into the ocean on a boat and jump into the water, swimming for a bit. Once the shark appears within sight, quickly get back into the boat, grab a bazooka, and shoot the sea predator. You can try using other weapons or even grenades, but a bazooka is the most effective tool. Once the shark is defeated, you'll unlock the "Jason Brody's Legacy" achievement. By the way, Jason Brody is the main character of Far Cry 3.

Thank Goodness It's Not a Dinosaur

Far Cry Primal transports players to the Mesolithic era, where survival at any cost is necessary, battling both nature and other humans. And it's from this game that the wild boar has made its way into Far Cry 6. It looks quite authentic and primitive, and it's truly formidable. By killing it, you can craft special equipment from its skin and tusks, which can be pleasantly surprising. To do that, you need to head to the hunter's camp.

You're Definitely Not an Assassin

In the jungle, there's a lonely tower with a haystack nearby. If you climb to the top of the tower, you can feel like an assassin from the game, preparing to jump. There's even the sound of an eagle! But if you jump into the haystack, things won't end up quite like in the game about assassins and Templars.

Embark on Adventures!

Do you know a character named Indiana Jones? Well, in Far Cry 6, you can come across locations that make you feel like Indiana was there recently. It all starts when you see a cave entrance designed as a scary mask. Once you enter, you can discover a very interesting note that mentions Jones.

To explore the cave, you'll need to climb, jump, and be extremely attentive. At the end of the cave, you'll find a bonus, namely a green skull. But be aware that as soon as you pick it up, it will be replaced by a grenade. Run as fast as you can! But that's not the end of the Jones-style adventures.

You can find another cave full of riddles and treasures. Don't hesitate to examine even the trash because who knows, maybe that's where you can find the belongings of the legendary adventurer. That's not counting the numerous notes. And the green skull will come in handy for opening secret doors. At the end of the path, there will be a cave where crocodiles await the protagonist, just like in Jones' adventures. And in this cave, there will be a chest and the body of Indiana himself. That's a sad ending. The main thing is for your character not to end up the same way because the cave will collapse, just like in the movies. Run as fast as you can!

Long Live Baseball!

During the quest, at one of the military bases, you will find a baseball player's uniform behind glass. There's also a plaque with very small writing on it. Use a sniper rifle to read what's written. There won't be anything important there, to be honest. And it's unclear why you would need it in the first place.

The Main Villain and His Henchmen

During the gameplay, you can learn that behind all the events is a certain wealthy Canadian. If you manage to get on his ship and take your time before killing him, just listen to what he has to say. It reveals some very interesting moments.

The thing is, this Canadian is actively communicating with some of the heroes from previous installments. He is practically behind all the events that happened in the previous parts. And here's who you can recognize:

  • Willis Huntley. This secret agent appeared in Far Cry 3, 4, and 5. Willis actively interacted with the main characters of those parts. In the 6th part, the Canadian will tell the agent on the phone that he has weapons of mass destruction.
  • Longinus. He was in the fourth part and actively participated in the game's events. He is a very enterprising person, and despite claiming that he has found God, it doesn't stop him from trading weapons and other supplies necessary for war. He actively encourages his flock to start an armed struggle for freedom. The Canadian will offer him weapons of mass destruction as well.

A Four-Legged Friend

Here's a reference to the fifth installment. By reading a note, you can learn that a cargo recently arrived in Yara from America, specifically from the state where the events of Far Cry 5 took place. Sneak into the warehouse and find a closed container that needs to be opened. Inside, you'll find Boomer, whom Dani will nickname Boom-Boom. The dog will become a loyal companion.

Ghosts Exist

If you visit the cemetery at night, you may come across the ghost of a man and learn his sad story. Suddenly turn 360 degrees, and you'll see the ghost pointing to a certain place. It all started when he was alive and had a family. But a tragedy occurred, and his child died. Then he and his wife separated, and the man suffered. It was later revealed that his ex-wife didn't mourn much. The man became enraged and killed her. You can even visit the place and see a skeleton, as well as witness the act of murder. That's quite an unpleasant story.

Assassins Again... Well, Almost

In the game, there's a small town with a church at its center. Its appearance strongly resembles the atmosphere of the "Assassin's Creed" game. If you climb onto the roof, you can find a note stating that someone really enjoys spending time there and wouldn't mind jumping, experiencing the feeling of flight and freedom. The only problem is there's nowhere to land. Unless it's the nearby dumpster.

Hurk Everywhere

While playing the game, you can find a note from Hurk, who appeared in every part of the Far Cry series, occasionally coming to the aid of the main characters. By the way, it was this character who sent the dog Boomer (aka Boom-Boom) to Yara, hoping that he would be well taken care of there.
