Agility in Fallout 4

Why should you increase your character's Agility? Because Agility directly affects the number of Action Points (AP). An Agility value of "1" gives you 70 AP. With further increases, each point of Agility adds 10 AP. For example, if your Agility is "2", you will have 80 AP (70 + 10), and if it's "3", you will have 90 AP (70 + 10 + 10), and so on. This is useful for VATS combat, increasing the number of shots you can take.

Agility is also appreciated by players who prefer to stealthily approach and eliminate enemies. For example, with an Agility value of 1, enemies will notice your character long before they get close. But with an Agility of 10, you can get extremely close without being detected.

Agility is also important for thievery. Each point of Agility adds 1% to your pickpocketing chance. So if you enjoy playing in stealth mode, Agility is essential.

Increasing Agility

The base value of Agility in the game is 13 (190 AP). You can achieve this value by having Agility reach 10. After that, you need to:

  • Find the "SPECIAL" magazine in Sanctuary. Using it will increase your Agility by 1 point;
  • Build and use the Vault-Tec Workshop's Vault-Tec exercise bike, which adds 1 point of Agility;
  • Find the Agility bobblehead at the "Broken North Star" location, which adds 1 point of Agility.

Clothing and Equipment

By equipping specific gear, you can increase your Agility. To reach a value of 21, you will need:

  • A second-generation synth helmet, obtainable at the Institute;

  • A right bracer of the defender, obtained from Becky Fallon;

  • A left greave of the mantis, provided by Lucas Miller;

  • Synth sturdy armor for the torso, unlocked after completing the "Memory Interrupted" quest;

  • Military fatigues.

To reach 31 Agility, you will need:

  • Sturdy armor for all body parts;
  • A second-generation synth helmet;
  • Military fatigues.

If you find power armor at the "Nuka-Cola Bottling Plant" location and wear it, your Agility will be 15. We're talking about T-51 or "Nuka-Cola" armor.

Is there a maximum Agility? Yes, there is. Its value is 40. To the equipment with 31 Agility, we add:

  • Deathclaw steak;
  • Mirelurk cake;
  • Rum (requires the "Party Boy" perk to enhance the effect);
  • Ultrajet;
  • X-Cell.

Next, let's look at Agility perks.
