The project from the developers of Amistech Games combines several genres at once. Here you have a life simulator of an ordinary Finnish guy, racing, and entertaining mini-games. The locations are a replica of an area in Finland where one of the development team members lived. Many users love the project for its originality and uniqueness.

Adding new content to the project is made possible by mods for My Summer Car, of which there have been an incredible number since its release. Some of them don't make any sense as they were written by beginners. However, there are also quite worthy ones, which will be discussed further.

Minimap

When driving cars, your eyes always try to find the minimap, which is usually located in the lower-left corner. However, in the vanilla version of the game, this functionality is absent. Luckily, there is a mod that adds this missing interface element.

The mod developer has added the function of scaling down the minimap during high-speed driving, as well as a day and night mode. Now you don't have to fumble around the back roads. Some locations and vehicles have also received convenient icons.

Drivable Ricochet

The familiar Satsuma, around which much of the running around takes place at the beginning of the game, has already become tiresome for many players. The featured mod adds a red Ricochet coupe. The new car harmoniously blends into the desolate Finnish landscapes.

When the corresponding mods for My Summer Car are installed, you need to check the bulletin board. It is recommended to carefully examine the economical coupe, as it can well become a full-fledged replacement for the Satsuma.

Despite the numerous advantages of the project, including complete freedom of action, the game is a sad sight in technical terms. Low FPS, constant bugs, freezes. In today's selection, the mod that addresses at least some of the existing problems takes the third place. With the plugin installed, performance increases almost twofold.

Backpack

It gets tedious in the vanilla version to go to the store for another crate of beer. With the introduction of a backpack, you can forget about limitations. No item will ever get stuck in textures again, as it will securely be placed in the bag. Adding this mod solves one of the most pressing problems.

To manage your inventory, use the E, H, and Y keys. There is also an option to clear the backpack of all items (Ctrl + Y key combination). To customize the mod to your liking, use the Ctrl + H combination.

HONDA NSR50

Escaping from the police on a tractor is one of the most amusing possibilities in the game. If you're tired of constantly reading tragic news in the morning newspaper, adding a powerful motorcycle will allow you to quickly escape from pursuers. The main thing is to react in time to passing cars.

The mod immediately adds a motorcycle near the main character's house. Some may argue that the HONDA NSR50 doesn't quite fit into the Finnish countryside landscape, but the main feature of the game is absolute freedom of action.

After installing My Summer Car on your computer, many immediately try to fix the car in the garage, especially since the note on the refrigerator suggests doing so. However, only a few manage to do it because all the components need to be installed in a specific sequence.

With the introduction of the mod that shows bolt sizes, more players will be able to fix the Satsuma because now it will be much easier to find the right wrench. This additional content is especially useful for those who have no idea about car mechanics.

Fast Travel

At the beginning of the game, the absence of fast travel doesn't cause any discomfort. Everyone is curious about what's around the road's turn. Will it be a grocery store, a neighbor's house, or something else? Exploring the world is truly intriguing.

When the in-game hours exceed ten or twenty, the constant need to drive to a specific place starts to become tiresome. The mod adds fast travel, for which there's no need to even get into a vehicle.

Usually, alcohol behind the wheel doesn't lead to anything good. However, in the game, the main character rarely travels in a car without taking a crate of beer along. Naturally, when returning home, the car will have a dented body and broken doors.

Without the installed mod, you had to fix your Satsuma at the repair shop. Adding the mod allows you to use a hammer to repair cars (only certain damages). Simply use the left mouse button near the defect.

Digital Speedometer

Few players pay attention to the car's dashboard. However, My Summer Car mods allow you to develop new habits and make driving safer. This extension adds a digital speedometer to the Fleetari's workshop. Naturally, such luxury looks quite strange in the Finnish countryside.

Planks

You can use the tractor not only for delivering firewood to your neighbors or harvesting crops. Many players, upon seeing the machinery for the first time, wondered: how can I load the old Satsuma onto it? Unfortunately, such a feature is not available in the vanilla version.

This injustice can be remedied with the "Planks" mod, which adds 2 convenient planks. After installation, you'll have to go and get them from an old shed on the northern edge of the map. They are used as an improvised ramp for loading cars.

A large lake occupies the center of the game world. This extension introduces cozy apartments right on the picturesque shore. Now you can relax from the usual routine in nature, catch fish, and enjoy your favorite beer.

To maintain the balance for renting a cozy cottage, you'll have to pay. The desire to splurge automatically arises when the player sees all the amenities and local views. In addition, the premises are equipped with mail, a landline phone, and other civilized comforts.

Tire Racks

It's quite strange that the vanilla version of the game didn't include tire racks. This injustice can be remedied with the corresponding mod. Now the garage will have perfect order, especially since the new addition can be painted in a favorite color.

The mod doesn't immediately add tire racks to the main character's garage. To collect all the additional content, you'll have to sweat. The mod creator has carefully thought out the placement of all the elements on the map (you'll have to visit 16 different locations).

Every player has had the thought that it would be nice to have a trailer for transporting various goods in the game. Fortunately, there are My Summer Car mods that make the life of a simple Finnish guy easier. Now you can bring much more junk to the garage.

The mod adds the ability to connect a trailer to any vehicle. If someone wanted to learn how to drive in the game, they'll have sufficient motivation because when colliding, items will scatter all over the area.

And here's the long-awaited mod for the Satsuma. After installing the extension, you'll have the option to add lighting to the instrument panel. The player can choose the color scheme themselves. Finally, someone came up with a way to please the beloved old Satsuma, for which it took so much time to assemble.

How great would it be to have your own pickup truck in the game. Modders don't leave players at the mercy of fate, so the main character's grandmother suddenly has the desired car that she absolutely doesn't need. The mod adds a new vehicle.

The pickup truck can be customized, including installing custom skins. In terms of all parameters, the new car is identical to the existing ones (you can use it to complete missions). The open cargo area is perfect for transporting a huge amount of beer crates.

The selection includes the best mods for My Summer Car that don't heavily impact the gameplay initially intended by the developers. There won't be any dragons, Thomas the Tank Engine, or other nonsense. Many elements simply enhance the gameplay, making the game even better.
