Boombox in Lethal Company can be used for distracting enemies and entertainment. To make the game more enjoyable, you can add your own compositions. Read the guide to learn how to do it.

Where to Find the Boombox in Lethal Company

You can purchase the boombox at the terminal for 60 credits. Simply go to the Store section, find the desired item, and confirm the purchase. You can find the item by searching for the keyword: “boombox”. Wait for the ordered item to be delivered.

How to Use the Boombox

Pick up the item to start using it. Click the Left Mouse Button (LMB), and the music will start playing. Like other devices, the boombox runs on batteries and will discharge over time. You can recharge the boombox only on the spaceship. The charge level will be displayed as a yellow bar in the top left corner of the screen.

The boombox serves two main purposes: distracting enemies and just for fun. The device distracts two enemies: Hygrodere and Eyeless Dog.

Place the boombox in a remote corner or in a separate room to divert the attention of the Hygrodere and make it ignore the player. Important: if you turn on the boombox far from enemies, they will start converging towards your location.

You can also throw the boombox to Eyeless Dogs to climb aboard undisturbed. Turn on the music with the LMB, toss the device, and move away. When the dogs are distracted and attack the boombox, you can run past them. However, keep in mind that the boombox will be destroyed, and you won't get it back.

Tips for using the boombox:

• Buy multiple devices to distract several enemies at once and disperse them across the location;
• Place the boombox where you can find it, for example, near exits and passages. If you lose the device in the location, the level will become much more difficult;
• Turn on the boombox only if you are sure it will attract the right monster; otherwise, you may summon a crowd of enemies and find yourself in trouble;
• Do not place the boombox near team members – you may provoke the monster towards them.

How to Play Your Own Music

The only way to play your own music is to install the Custom Boombox Music mod. Officially, this feature is not provided in the game. Additionally, you can install the Boombox Music Pack mod, which adds 10 compositions to the game. And if you want to simplify the process, download Boombox No Power to no longer worry about recharging the battery.

You can download all the files on our website using the links. Installation is free, all files are verified and safe. To make the mods work correctly, follow the instructions:

1. Download and unpack the archive of the Custom Boombox Music mod;
2. Move the files to the game folder BepInEx/plugins;
3. Launch Lethal Company so that the game automatically creates the necessary folders;
4. After launching the game, install the remaining mods (if desired) in the folder with the initial mod;
5. In the game, use the terminal and enter the console command /bplay;
6. After that, you can add any mp3 files or links to compositions on YouTube. After that, the music will start playing in the game.

In general, nothing complicated. The most important thing is to correctly install the latest versions of mods so that they do not affect the game.
