For those who have just entered the region and haven't yet familiarized themselves with the new mechanics, solving the puzzle might seem challenging. Therefore, we've compiled a detailed guide on how the Miraculous Floating Ball puzzle works and what you need to do to solve the puzzles with it.

Where to Find Puzzles with Miraculous Floating Ball

Puzzles with the Balls grant access to three underwater pavilions where you can earn the achievement "These Area Few Of My..." which we discussed in a separate guide, precious chests, and a special hidden Blubberbeast quest where you need to feed the creature over the course of several real days.

How to Solve the Miraculous Floating Ball Puzzle

The Miraculous Floating Ball puzzles involve manipulating water currents. The ball moves along a set trajectory, and the current either repels it or draws it closer. The player's task is to timely block or open the current so that the Ball settles within the ring and triggers the mechanism.

Let's look at the solution of the puzzle in one of the pavilions located in the Salacia Plain area.

Acquire the Ability of the Xenochromatic Crab

In this aspect, Genshin comes to players' rescue: if a specific puzzle requires the strength of one of the xenochromatic creatures (stingray, crab, or blubberbeast), it will always be nearby.

Acquire the power of the Xenochromatic Armored Crab, floating above the pavilion's roof or in a group in front of the entrance. The skill changes upon pressing the attack button.

Activate the Shield and Approach the Current

Approach the current near which the Ball is located. Hold down E, strike at the drain – a shield will form around you, and the current will stop for about 3-5 seconds. Swim up close to the current and block it with the shield. Now the Ball can move and swim towards the ring.

Before unblocking the current, make sure the Ball has had time to move away and won't attach back to the drain as soon as you move away. The shield's effect extends the charge of the attack with a long "E" press.

As soon as the Ball enters the ring, it will emit a characteristic glow, and the puzzle will be solved. Note that for some puzzles, you need to activate multiple Balls at once – look for them nearby.

All Miraculous Floating Ball puzzles are solved using this principle. They are quite straightforward once understood, and difficulties should not arise.
