According to the latest leaks from Kusaka, it is likely that there will be no "1.7" version in Genshin Impact. It is probable that version 2.0 will immediately follow patch 1.6. This could indicate that the developers will add something very significant, such as a large number of new regions or story quests.

Signora could become a weekly boss in version 2.1

Kusaka claims that Signora will make another appearance in the storyline. Since she is an antagonist in the main story, this is not surprising. 

Regardless of whether miHoYo will continue with the previous patch release schedule or not, the leaks point to Signora appearing in two updates after 1.6. Therefore, if version 2.0 indeed arrives immediately after 1.6, Signora will be released in 2.1.
