Black Steel in the Hour of Chaos - a narrative mission and the first quest in the cooperation branch with Solomon Reed, which will lead to the endings "King of Pentacles" and "King of Cups".  

The main objective of the quest is to intercept the "MAX-TAC" convoy, in which Song So Mi is hiding, and to capture the netrunner.

The mission will begin immediately after the previous task - "Firestarter". To access the mission, you need to side with Solomon Reed and advocate for capturing So Mi.

Contact the netrunner

Intercepting the convoy without the help of an experienced specialist will be hard. It makes sense that you won't be able to turn to So Mi for help anymore, so find another netrunner's contact on your phone and get in touch. You'll have the choice of:

• All characters you met during the main game;
• If you played only the expansion without saves from the main game – Carol Emeka, Nix, Chang Hoon Nam;
• Mr. Hands - he'll offer his reliable person, but it'll cost you 15,000 credits.

Carol Emeka will categorically refuse your offer, but Nix and Hoon can be persuaded. Regardless of your choice, schedule a meeting and head to the Kabuki Roundabout to talk to the mercenary.

Talk to the netrunner

Enter the bar and find your chosen partner. He'll be waiting for you on the second floor, next to the arcade machines. Talk to the netrunner, undergo biometric scanning, and take the chip. The netrunner will ask you to report the convoy's location to track it.

Meet Solomon Reed

Reed will contact you by phone and send a text with meeting location coordinates. Head to the marker in Longshore Stacks. The agent will meet you on the second floor of the abandoned hotel. The whole team is gathered here, and you can discuss the upcoming action plan together.

Ambush the convoy

You'll be offered several spots from which you can watch and ambush the convoy. Before this, So Mi will contact you, reminding V of his betrayal and asking to be left alone. Choose an ambush spot, wait for the convoy to arrive, and engage in combat with the MAX-TAC troops.

We recommend attacking enemies that Reed is targeting - he will be weakened and more vulnerable to attacks. This will help quickly deal with the enemy squad.

Search the convoy

When the shootout ends, rush to the truck. It turns out to be empty, and So Mi has managed to escape. Reed will be injured, so it's up to V to track down and capture So Mi.

Run down the main straight road to the marker. Follow So Mi's trail until you come across a building with a rammed hole in the wall. V will report that he found the crash site and will delve deeper into the building to find the netrunner. The "Hour of Chaos" quest will end, and the next will begin - "Somewhat Damaged", which will conclude the expansion's narrative and lead you to one of the possible endings.
