How to get to the Moonrise Towers and break the curse in Baldur's Gate 3
Moonrise Towers is one of the story locations that can be accessed through the Blighted Descent. It marks the beginning of the second act of the game.
How to Reach Moonrise Towers
There are 2 paths from the Blighted Descent: through the Underdark or the Shadow-Enveloped Battlefield.
1. Underdark: Head to Grimforge, where you'll encounter enemies and reach the northeastern corner of the Dark Cursed Lands;
2. Shadow-Enveloped Battlefield: In this location, you'll be under the influence of a curse that can be dispelled either by sunlight or the Moon Lantern, which can be obtained after defeating the draugr Carniss.
Passage through the Underdark
From the Underdark to Moonrise Towers, there are 4 roads:
1. Northeastern Storehouse;
2. Funnel in the Spider Lair;
3. Selunite Outpost;
4. Portal in Aunt Ethel's Lair, where the "Tea House" quest takes place, covered in a separate guide.
Be prepared to fight mobs along the way: minotaurs and duergars. Pay attention to the HP level of the minotaurs. Try not to bunch up and avoid getting hit. Use the boat and lift.
Passage through the Mountain Pass
Follow the road from Waukeen's Rest to the west until you reach a dragon. You can either fight or negotiate with it. It will block your path further. After victory or a successful agreement, proceed along the Mountain Pass until you encounter Level 3 Vampires, Level 6 Wights, and Death Shepherds. After defeating them, continue across the bridge to enter lands afflicted by the dark curse.
How to break the Dark Curse
Initially, use torches that each character should take in hand. If light sources are not used, the heroes will die. Use the Moon Lantern or talk to Jaheira, the Harpers' Leader, to receive a blessing and move around the location without illumination. Seek assistance from the pixie Dolly-Dolly-Dolly from Carniss's lamp, or release her to bestow a blessing on the entire party.
