How to reset skills and specialization in Baldur's Gate 3
In Baldur's Gate 3, there's an option to reset skills, thus requalifying your character. This can be useful for first-time players when the abundance of mechanics can be overwhelming, and players might incorrectly level up their hero. Let's explore how to choose specializations for yourself or your companions.
Resetting Skills in Baldur's Gate 3 using Withers
In order to change your class in BG3, you need to find Withers. He resides in the dark crypt located in "Crash Site". After exploration, you'll be able to talk to the character and then return to rest for a "Long Rest." This will allow Withers to join the refugee camp. The NPC has two skills: resurrecting characters and resetting skills.
Next, the main hero will need to accumulate 100 gold, find Withers in a safe zone, and start interacting with him. During the conversation, choose the dialogue option "Can you help me change my class?". After payment, the specialization selection window will appear automatically, where you can modify spells, attributes, and more.
Resetting Skills
In the abilities section, there's the possibility to assign new parameters to various attributes. To change them, you'll also need to give Withers 100 gold.
Changing Companions' Specialization
Since it's challenging for newcomers to work out strategies, the option to change a companion's class has been added. The class and skills selection window is almost the same, but as the active character, you'll need to choose the companion.
